great tool, easy to hook up, very simple if you cant do it or struggel at it you should not be out of the house without some one to watch you. It welds very good, it h as good controll for speed and power, you have to play around to weld thiner stuff untill your used to it but it will do the job great.

Review of Wahl 7800 CORDLESS SOLDERING IRON KIT

I've been in the electronics business for years, and I've always had two of these irons sitting on my bench -- one in use and one charging.It fits your hand perfectly, travels well with a locking button, lights up your work and has a very large assortment of tips to choose from (from broad to very, very fine), all easily changeable without any tools.

I finally had to buy a new one after many years of use out of the old ones, I'd say at least 15 years.

For production work I recommend a corded high-end workstation, but for repairs this iron can't be beat.

There are a few times when I have to get out the big Weller gun, but the Wahl does the job 95 percent of the time.
